On May 9th 2023, BARNES organized an exceptional day, the BARNES Racing Car Experience Day. During a weekend of track driving at Magny-Cours circuit, twelve participants had the opportunity to be accommodated at the magnificent Château de Planchevienne. After a private dinner, the day started with a briefing session conducted by the circuit's technical team, followed by multiple sessions of Formula Renault driving. This event provided a friendly experience of training and discovery, allowing enthusiasts to fully immerse themselves in their passion for speed and adrenaline.
BARNES Racing Car Experience 2024, a day on the track on 22 May 2024 :
Formula Renault 2.0 single-seater, 505kg carbon monocoque, 2-liter 210 HP engine, 7-speed sequential gearbox, steering-wheel paddles, slick tires. Prost, Räikkönen, Hamilton, Gasly, Bottas, Norris, De Vries - all former or current F1 drivers have driven the Formula Renault 2.0.
Number of places limited to 12 participants for an optimal pedagogy.
*2024 Registration is compulsory.
First the arrival at one of these stunning, welcoming and charming residences.
Discover the space, meet the other guests, get to know one another.

Head off to the circuit. Only 10 minutes away.
Meet with the team.
Listen carefully. The cockpit. The dashboard. The gears, the steering wheel paddles.
The equipment, suit, boots, gloves.
You're already transported to another universe.
The single-seaters are there, lined up as if for a parade. Only 4 will be on the track at any one time to ensure a serene experience. Nothing in the way. Stay focused.
Settle in.
Get a feel for the pedals.
The accelerator, the brake.
Strap in, but not too tight.
Finally, the steering wheel is installed.
Visor down.
Ready to go.
Into 1st gear.
Head off from the pits.
2-3-4 then brake.
Droite gauche.
Right left.
4-5-4 brake.
Right-hand hairpin turn.
Sortir bien à l’extérieur, ré-accélérer, le volant droit.
Come out well on the outside, speed up again, keep the steering wheel straight. The bends and turns one after another. The laps too. The lines become more honed. The enjoyment grows.
